A friend of mine recently started a new job. He’s a clever guy. Has lots of experience. But said he’s struggling a little. I said you will…
It’s a change in the culture, how they do things, you’ll be learning new ways of working, etc… the most important thing is that whilst you find it slightly difficult now in terms of adjusting and that you’re out of your comfort zone, in six months to a year, you’ll be fully embedded.
So if you’re embarking on something new… just remember, it gets easier… (Oh, and if you’re unsure about moving, just read the book… ‘Who moved my cheese?’)
It’s been a while! For that, I apologise. A lot has been going on… (all good just to add! – just been super busy) but I’m back on it again! (And appreciate the messages from you guys asking me about me blog, the Friday Thought, etc…)
So I’ve finally finished the book by Steven Bartlett – Happy Sexy Millionaire.
I’ll honest, I didn’t really want to read it at first – but once I got into it, and half through – absolutely loved it! What a great book. There’s some nuggets of information that will stay with me – and I encourage you to go out and buy the book and read it. My Friday Thought today is a photo from one of the pages in the book… talking about the time we have on this planet.
We all talk about how much time we have, and how it’s limited. But do we really?
Recently, Sidhu Moosewala – a singer, actor, artist who was from the northern region of India, called Punjab was shot dead.
He was a Global Superstar. Some huge artists around the world put messages on their social media channels and many people were saddened to learn about his untimely death.
One thing that really stuck out for me, was a post on Instagram. Which is my Friday Thought… I don’t think it needs any extra words from me.
Today’s thought is all about creating those memories.
I’ve got the book, which I’m reading, called Dance First, Think Later. Fantastic book. And one of the quotes is about what are you going to do… from which you can tell stories about for many years to come. Go and enjoy yourself, do things that you are passionate about and do things that will create those memories.
Always been a fan of the Special One. Yes, Jose Mourinho. The brilliant football manager. Often says a few harsh things, seems a little arrogant but there’s no going away from what he has achieved at so many football clubs.
And today’s thought… somewhat funny, but somewhat interesting.
Many times, it’s fighting the old, the existing… what’s happening/happened.
However… what we should be doing is using our energy to build the new. What is needed in this world, in our communities to improve and make better. That is where our energy should be focused. Look to the future… look to the new.
